[SYNOPSIS]
치매가 깊어지는 나의 외할머니 윤영자는 평생 무속인으로 살아왔다. 요양원과 집을 오가며 할머니의 말은 죽은 이들과의 대화, 젊은 시절의 기억, 현재의 혼란이 뒤섞여 흐른다. 반복되는 배회와 불안 속에서 가족들은 오래 닫혀 있던 법당을 정리하기 위해 마지막 굿을 준비한다. 이윽고 닫혀 있던 법당의 문이 열리고 가족과 제자들이 모인 가운데 굿이 시작되자 할머니의 몸은 잊고 있던 리듬을 되찾는다. 서로 다른 시간들이 한자리에서 충돌하고, 말해지지 못한 감정들이 드러난다.
[DIRECTORS' NOTE]
어느 순간부터 할머니의 말은 무속인의 언어인지, 치매로 인한 혼잣말인지 구분하기 어려워졌다. 어떤 말은 예언처럼 들리기도 하고, 어떤 말은 망상처럼 들리기도 하는 그 모호한 경계가 오래 마음에 남았다. 이 영화는 그 경계를 설명하거나 판단하기보다, 그 사이에서 머무르고자 했다. 가족의 기억과 감정, 과거와 현재가 교차하는 시간을 따라가며 말로 설명되지 않는 감각을 담아내고자 한다.

[SYNOPSIS]
As my maternal grandmother Yoon Young-ja's dementia deepens, she moves between a nursing home and her family home. Having spent her entire life as a shaman, her words drift between conversations with the dead, memories of her youth, and the confusion of the present. Amid her repeated wandering and anxiety, the family prepares a final ritual to close the long-shuttered shrine. When the doors finally open and the ritual begins, with family and disciples gathered around her, her body rediscovers a rhythm it seemed to have forgotten. Different times collide, and long-buried emotions begin to surface.
[DIRECTOR’S NOTE]
At a certain point, it became difficult for me to tell whether my grandmother's words belonged to the language of shamanism or were simply the fragmented speech of dementia. Some sounded like prophecies, others like delusions, and that ambiguous boundary stayed with me for a long time. Rather than explaining or judging that boundary, I wanted this film to remain within it. By following the moments when family memories and emotions, the past and the present, intersect, I hope to capture a sensibility that cannot be put into words.
