[SYNOPSIS]
만성적인 무기력에 젖어 있던 '나'는 엄마의 남대천 산책에 따라나섰다 초등학교 시절의 숙제를 떠올린다. 바로 남대천에서 플라나리아를 잡아오라는 것. 당시엔 찾지 못했다. 천변에서 방방이나 뛰고 뽑기나 하며 놀았다. 그러나 35년이 지난 지금까지도, 여전히 남대천을 지날 때면 궁금해지곤 한다.
저 물 속엔 플라나리아가 살고 있을까?
어차피 할 일도 없겠다, 오래된 물음표를 해소하겠다며 이제라도 플라나리아를 찾기로 결심하지만 생각처럼 풀리지 않는다. 애초에 침대 밖으로 나가는 것부터가 쉽지 않다. ‘나’는 중년이 되어서야 뒤늦게 ADHD 진단을 받은, 태생이 의욕제로 인간이므로. 그러나 플라나리아를 찾게 된다면 무언가 변할 것도 같다. 과연 나는 플라나리아를 찾을 수 있을까?

사람은 어디까지 기억에 좌우되는가. 10살의 기억을 45살까지 간직한 채 집착하게 만드는 근원은 뇌의 어디쯤에 자리하고 있는가. 45세에 ADHD 진단을 받은 이래 '나'는 어린시절의 기억들을 샅샅이 반추하며 ADHD를 말해주는 단서들을 찾아내는 데 집착하기 시작한다.
<방방과 플라나리아>는 그런 '나'가 남대천에서 플라나리아를 잡아오라던 어릴 적 숙제를 35년 만에 해결하는 과정을 통해 해묵은 상처들을 돌아보고, 살아갈 도파민을 얻는 영상 재활 프로젝트다.

After years of struggling with chronic lethargy, 'I' ventured out one day for a stroll with my mother along the Namdaecheon, triggering memories of elementary school tasks – to catch planaria from the stream. Back then, I couldn't find any. Instead, I played and frolicked along the riverbank, bouncing on the trampoline and playing the squid game to pick up bbop-gi(dalgona). Yet, even after 35 years, whenever I pass by the Namdaecheon, curiosity still strikes me.
Are there planaria living in those waters?
Since there's nothing else to do anyway, I've decided to resolve the old question mark by finally searching for the planaria. However, things aren't unfolding as expected. It's not easy to even get out of bed in the first place. 'I', now in middle age, was diagnosed with ADHD late in life and inherently lacks enthusiasm. Yet, if I manage to find the planaria, something might change.
Can I really find the planaria?

How much does memory influence us? Where in the brain does the source lie that holds onto memories from the age of 10 until the age of 45, creating an obsession? Since being diagnosed with ADHD at 45, 'I' have become fixated on retracing childhood memories, searching for clues that explain ADHD. 'BangBang and Planaria' is a film rehabilitation project that reflects on dormant memories through the process of 'me' resolving a childhood task of catching planaria from the Namdaecheon after 35 years, ultimately obtaining the dopamine needed to move forward.
