[SYNOPSIS]
세월호 참사가 일어난 지 10년이 넘었다.
참사로부터 살아 돌아온 김동수의 삶은 이전과는 많이 달라졌다.
화물차 운전기사로 살던 김동수는 참사로 화물차와 함께 일상을 잃었다.
매일 한라산둘레길 탐방소를 지키지만
정신과 보호 병동에 입원과 퇴원을 반복하고,
온몸을 바늘로 찌르는 듯한 통증에 시달린다.
그래도 이전부터 즐기던 마라톤을 계속하며
삶을 회복하기 위해 발버둥 친다.
이런 김동수의 일상을 지탱하는 것은 아내 김형숙과 두 딸이다.
세월호 안에서 구해달라는 간절한 표정으로 김동수를 바라보는 눈망울들이
시시각각 되살아나 그의 마음을 송두리째 흔들어 놓지만,
곁을 지키는 가족의 손을 잡으며, 그래도 살아간다.

세월호 참사 생존자로서 경험한 김동수의 고통을 들여다보고, 긴 시간 서로 의지하며 트라우마를 감당해 온 가족의 이야기를 담아내려 했다.

[SYNOPSIS]
It has been over ten years since the Sewol Ferry Disaster. Kim Dongsoo, a survivor of the tragedy, now lives a life very different from the one he knew.
Once a cargo truck driver, he lost both his truck and his everyday life in the disaster. Now, he spends his days at the Hallasan Trail Information Center. Still, he has been repeatedly hospitalized in psychiatric care wards and continues to suffer from sharp, needle-like pains throughout his body.
Still, Dongsoo keeps running marathons, striving to reclaim his life. What supports him every day are his wife, Hyungsuk, and their two daughters.
The desperate eyes of those trapped inside the Sewol Ferry, pleading for help, flash vividly in his mind, shaking him deeply. Yet, holding his family’s hands, he carries on with life.

This film seeks to portray the pain of Sewol Ferry Disaster survivor Kim Dongsoo and the long journey he and his family have taken, relying on one another to endure and live with the trauma.
