[SYNOPSIS]
‘범 내려온다’ 신드롬으로 떠오른 이날치는 여러 번의 멤버 탈퇴로 인해 심각한 내홍을 겪는다.
5년간 새 앨범도 내지 못했고, 오래된 절친마저 팀을 떠난 상황에 비국악인 리더 장영규는 국악과 대중음악의 간극 속에서 길을 모색한다.
미국 진출 계약을 앞두고 급조한 새 멤버들과 세계 무대에 도전하는 이날치의 여정이 시작된다.

이날치는 단순한 인기 밴드가 아니라, 전통 음악을 현대적으로 변용하며 그 가능성과 조건을 실험해 온 창작 집단이며 트래디팝의 시초가 된 팀이다. 이들의 작업 과정과 시행착오, 시스템 구축의 경험은 향후 창작국악 발전을 위해 중요한 기록이 된다.
또한 탈퇴와 갈등, 재편은 예외가 아닌 현실이라는 인식 아래, 팀이 어떻게 구조를 정비하고 창작을 이어가는지를 과정 중심으로 보여주고자 한다.
나아가 이들의 여정을 통해 전통예술 현대화와 문화 다양성 증진이라는 가치, 그리고 한국 창작국악의 문화산업적 가능성과 사회적 확장성을 가시화하고자 한다.

[SYNOPSIS]
Rising to fame with the viral phenomenon “Tiger Is Coming,” Leenalchi faces severe internal turmoil following the departure of multiple members. Unable to release a new album for five years and losing even longtime friends from the band, non-gugak leader Jang Young-gyu searches for a path between traditional Korean music and popular culture. As an international contract in the United States approaches, Leenalchi hastily recruits new members and begins a precarious journey toward the global stage.

Leenalchi is not merely a popular band, but a creative collective that has pioneered “tradi-pop” by reimagining traditional music in contemporary forms. This film documents their creative process, challenges, and system-building as a meaningful record for the future of contemporary Korean traditional music.
Focusing on conflict, departure, and reorganization as inherent realities of collective creation, the film takes a process-driven approach to observe how the band continues to create and evolve. Through their journey, the film aims to highlight the modernization of traditional arts, cultural diversity, and the cultural-industrial potential of contemporary Korean traditional music.
