[SYNOPSIS]
An interview film with Jean-Luc Godard in 2002 at his studio in Switzerland. We are two interviewers, Korean and a French. We wanted to ask to him about film making processing in order to demystify him and share his vision and practice way for film making.
I thought four steps like Thinking, Adaptation, Editing and Meaning. But Godard's thinking way is so unique as we see it in his films, our interview's plan has collapsed rapidly and we tried to get his huge knowledge and deep thinking about the cinema and its history.
A great moment with a huge director of world film history, in which we saw a honest, sensitive and generous person in spite of his controversial attitude. This interview is made 20 years ago but it still would be helpful for the future filmmakers and even those who make already.

I wanted to ask and discuss with Jean-Luc Godard, one of the most important filmmaker in the world how functions precisely during making a film. Especially I would like to help the young directors who want to make films.

[SYNOPSIS]
한국인(심고우리 감독)과 프랑스인, 두 명의 감독 지망 청년들이 고다르 감독의 작업실을 찾아가 그를 인터뷰한 기록물이다. <고다르 감독에게 묻다>는, 새로운 영화 언어를 끊임없이 창조해 간 고다르 감독만의 독특한 영화세계가 어떠한 영화적 사고, 작업 방식, 제작 과정을 거쳐서 완성되는지에 대한 질문과 답변으로 구성되어 있다.
[DIRECTOR'S NOTE]
고다르 감독의 구체적인 작업방식, 영화적인 사고방식에 대한 솔직하고 기초적인 질문들을 해보고 싶었다. 영화의 네 단계로 '생각하다', '각색하다', '편집하다', '의미화하다'를 생각했으며 이러한 단계별 고다르 감독의 접근방식에 대해 질문했다. 특히 한국 관객에게는 어렵고 낯선 방식으로 사고하는 감독으로 여겨질 수 있어 쉽게 풀어보고 싶었다.
