[SYNOPSIS]
팽목항으로 출발하기 전, 옷가지와 식재료를 챙기는 명임의 모습은 얼핏 보면 여행을 떠나는 이의 모습 같기도 하다.
지난 10년간 수없이 지나쳤을 익숙한 풍경을 뒤로하며 진도로 향한다.
'진실은 침몰하지 않는다'라는 녹슨 입간판이 있는 컨테이너동에 도착해 짐을 풀고 주변을 정리한다.
그곳에 온 또 다른 부모 지영과 재복.
세 사람은 각자의 자리에서 할 일을 한다.
카메라는 기억관 곳곳을, 부모님의 이야기를 담는다.
기다림에 대하여. 낡고, 춥고, 외로운 팽목항을 지켜내는 일에 대하여.

영화는 세상에서 이 참사가 잊혀지지 않기를 간절한 마음으로 바라는 세월호 희생자 유족들의 삶에 주목한다.
상실의 아픔을 딛고 살아내야 하는 가족의 일상을 마주하며 참사를 둘러 싼 사회적 이해관계로부터 한 발짝 벗어나 이별의 본질에 대해 탐구하고자 한다.

[SYNOPSIS]
Myeong-im packs clothes and ingredients before departing for Paengmok Port. She heads to Jindo Island, leaving behind the familiar scenery that has passed countless times over the past decade. She arrives at the container building with a rusty signboard written "Truth does not sink" unpacks, and organizes her surroundings. The other parents who came there also clean up the container. The camera takes the stories of their parents throughout the memory. About waiting, protecting the old, cold, and lonely Paengmok Harbor.
[DIRECTOR'S NOTE]
The film focuses on the lives of the bereaved families of the victims of Ferry Sewol, who desperately hope that the disaster will not be forgotten in the world. Facing the daily life of the family who has to overcome the pain of losing their kids, I want to explore the nature of separation, away from the social interests surrounding the disaster.
