[SYNOPSIS]
Mother disappeared. Son faces the truth that was hidden for thirty years. In 1983, a twisted love story among a woman, a revolutionary, and a fraktsiya unfolds.

Everyone has own hearts’ safe. Every generation hides their safes in the deepest pit. The unresolved past always finds its way back out of the pit to the present. In 1983, under the strongman, three university students fought for love and betrayal.
There is no intention to sell the reminiscence of the past or beautify it like dilettante. This movie is about the present days. Isn’t there something that we are missing behind the economical growth portrayed by the tall buildings? Ultimately this movie is about memory. I wanted to talk about when the hurtful memories pass back out of the deep pit and present its corpse. Like the Antigone, I wanted to show hope and healing by presenting the mysterious journey of a mother and the son’s to find Swallow’s corpse.

누구나 마음의 비밀금고가 있다. 각 시대 역시, 가장 깊은 갱도 안에 비밀금고를 숨겨놓고 있다. 그리고 해결되지 않은 과거는 언제나 다시 갱도를 빠져 나와 현재 속으로 귀환한다. 1983년, 엄혹했던 군사독재 시절, 3명의 대학생들이 벌이는 사랑과 배신.
호사가들처럼 과거를 추억으로 팔거나 낭만화할 생각은 없다. 이 영화는 현재에 대한 이야기다. 아파트로 상징되는 현재의 경제 성장 그 이면에 혹시 우리가 망각하고 있는 건 없을까? 먹고 살기 위해 바쁘게 달려가고 있는 우리네 삶이 혹시 놓치고 있는 건 없을까? 결국, ‘기억’에 관한 영화다. 상처 입은 기억이 깊은 갱도를 지나 현실 속에 시체처럼 드러났을 때의 파국에 대해 말하고 싶었다. 그리고 안티고네처럼 30년 동안 ‘제비’의 시체를 찾고 다닌 엄마와 아들의 미스터리 한 여정을 통해 희망과 치유에 대해 이야기하고 싶었다.
