[SYNOPSIS]
민주화운동기념사업회의 창고에서 "수해필림"이라고 적힌 의문에 필름 뭉치가 발견된다. 당시 현장을 기록하던 사진 집단들을 찾아가 이 필름의 흔적을 따라가며 복원을 시도한다. 하지만 그 세계를 복구하고 손상된 사진을 복원할수록 삭제되는 세계들이 발견된다. 민주화운동의 주역들이 대통령이 된 후 그들이 만드는 지옥을 막기 위해 싸웠던 수많은 노동자들의 세계. 그 엇갈림 가운데 지금, 여기의 풍경이 서서히 드러난다.
[DIRECTOR'S NOTE]
수해를 입은 민주화운동 당시의 필름을 복원하는 과정에서 종료될 수 없는 '민주화'의 종료를 선언하고 과거화, 역사화 하려는 욕망을 발견한다. 그것은 결국 영웅화, 신화화의 결과를 낳았다. 민주화 운동의 영웅이었던 이들이 대통령이 되었다. 그리고 IMF, 정리해고, 비정규직으로 이어지는 신주유주의의 비극은 더욱 가속했다. 물론 그때도 그 지옥을 막기위해 싸웠던 사람들이 있었다. 싸우지 않을 도리가 없던 사람들. 그리고 그 사람들을 기록했던 사람들. 필름을 복원할 수록, 그 시대의 영웅들을 복원할 수록, 그 영웅들이 만든 세계와 싸웠던 사람들은 사라져갔다. 어떤 세계를 복원할 수록 삭제되는 어떤 세계가 있었다.

[SYNOPSIS]
In the warehouse of the Korean Democracy Foundation, mysterious old roll films are found. In attempts of restoring it, they visit groups of photographers who recorded the field at the time and try following its traces. As that world is restored, once deleted worlds are discovered. In the midst of that alternativeness, the landscape is gradually revealed.
[DIRECTOR'S NOTE]
In the process of restoring the film of the democratization movement that was flood stricken, the end of 'democratization’, which cannot be ended, is declared, and the desire to make it into the past and history is discovered. It eventually resulted in heroization and mythology. Those who were heroes of the democratization movement became presidents. And the tragedy of neo-jurisprudence leading to the IMF, layoffs, and non-regular workers accelerated further. Of course, even then, there were people who fought to stop that hell. People who had no other choice but to fight. And the people who recorded them. As the film and the heroes of that era were restored, the people who fought the world the heroes created disappeared. There was a certain world that was deleted the more it was restored.
