[SYNOPSIS]
Mingyu who had been fighting against injustice with documentary, now tries to quit due to financial problems. Hannah is agonizing over her identity after having quit her only dream, figure skating. And Juhee is about to face pain in the search for her biological mother. The journey of the three, which began as a search to find Juhee's mother, becomes an opportunity, to meet the guitar factory workers resisting against unfair layoffs, to meet an old woman who has her husband in North Korea, and to acquire new perspectives on South Korea. During the journey, the three look after the pain of one another, and each find his/her own identity. Moreover, Mingyu and Hannah develop feelings for each other.

The film hopes to provide an opportunity, to ponder on the aspects of social truth, and to look back on ourselves, through dynamic episodes of which crews of an independent documentary production experience, in the process of making their own films.

[SYNOPSIS]
어린 시절 캐나다로 피겨 유학을 떠났다가 성적 부진으로 은퇴를 하고 돌아 온 한나.
막상 한국에 돌아와 보니 피겨 말고는 딱히 잘하는 게 없는 한나에게 이곳은 너무나 냉혹한 땅이다. 물론 그건 한나에게만 국한된 얘기는 아니다. 이곳에서 독립 다큐멘터리 촬영감독으로 일하고 있는 민규에게도 냉혹하기는 마찬가지. 다급하게 일이 필요했던 둘에게 프랑스 입양인 주희가 생모를 찾는 과정을 다루는 다큐멘터리 아르바이트가 들어온다. 한나에게는 거의 신세계나 다름없는 다큐멘터리 제작과정은 그녀가 직접 통역으로 참여하는 해외입양인 이슈뿐만 아니라 고공투쟁을 하고 있는 기타노동자들, 남북이산가족 실향민 할머니를 만나게 하는 계기가 되어준다.
이런 만남들을 통해 일말의 희망도 없어보이던 한국 사회가 다시 보이기 시작하는 한나. 물론 민규에게도 마찬가지다. 입양인 주희가 생모를 찾는 과정을 통해 한국 사회의 여러 단면과 마주하는 둘. 그리고 이런 둘에게 조금씩 서로에 대한 감정이 생기기 시작한다.

<관계의 가나다에 있는 우리는>은 독립 다큐멘터리를 만드는 프로듀서들과 그 구성원들이 각자의 작품을 만드는 과정에서 겪게 되는 좌충우돌 에피소드를 통해 우리가 잘 알지 못했던 사회적 진실의 단면을 마주보고, 우리 스스로를 다시 한 번 되돌아 볼 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 한다.
