<How to breathe underwater> was meant for a crowd of the individuals, connected to each other, through a day of two families. The two families face unavoidable and tragic events, but don’t know how each affects one another. They could realize it maybe tomorrow or day after tomorrow. If so, shouldn’t the world they live in become a little different from yesterday like the saying "If you understand someone's day, you know the whole world."

[SYNOPSIS]
자동차 부품 공장의 반장 현태는 인사과장 준석으로부터 직원 한 명을 권고사직 시키라는 지시를 받고 괴로워한다. 준석의 아내 은혜는 도로변에 차를 세워두고 은행 일을 보러 갔다 차를 견인 당한다. 하루 동안 벌어지는 두 이야기는 비극적인 하나의 결말로 모인다.

<물속에서 숨 쉬는 법>은 서로 연결되어 있는 개개인의 군상을 두 가족의 하루를 통해 표현하고자 했다. 두 가족은 불가항력적이고 비극적인 사건에 맞닥뜨리지만 서로가 서로에게 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 모른다. 그러나 내일은, 어쩌면 모레는 알게 될 지도 모른다. 그렇게 된다면 그들이 사는 세상은 어제와는 조금 다른 모습이지 않을까. “누군가의 하루를 이해한다면 그것은 세상을 모두 아는 것이다”라는 말처럼.

Hyun-tae is the work leader of manufacturing parts at an automobile factory. He suffers from the instruction of resigning one employee from the personnel manager, Junseok. Eunhye, Junseok 's wife, parked her car by the roadside for a moment to stop by a bank but the car is towed away. The two stories happened on the same day head for a tragic ending.
