사람은 어느 한순간 강렬하게 아름다운 무언가를 경험하고 나면 전혀 다른 인생을 살게 된다. 똑같은 일상을 살아도 삶과 사회에 대한 시선과 태도의 미세한 각도 변화가 긴 인생을 따라 아주 큰 차이를 만들어내고 결국 세상을 바꾼다. 무수한 1°의 변화, 그것이 남태령에서 발견한 역사의 동력원이었다. 형식화되어 오히려 해체되어 가는 민주주의를 일상에서 되살리려는 수많은 광장 시민들에게 감사와 연대의 마음을 전하고 싶다.

[SYNOPSIS]
The third year of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration. The nation was already at a boiling point. A single move by the president to end democracy backfired, opening the plaza.
This is a record of an accidental plaza in Namtaeryong on a winter solstice night. It is a testimony to the things changed by that one night at the plaza and a chronicle of people's struggles to bring the spirit of Namtaeryong into their daily lives.
[DIRECTOR’S NOTE]
Experiencing something intensely beautiful can completely change a person's life. Even in an identical daily routine, a slight shift in one's perspective on life and society can create a vast difference over time, ultimately changing the world. This 1° shift is the engine of history I discovered at Namtaeryong. I wish to convey my gratitude and solidarity to the citizens who strive to revive democracy in their everyday lives as it becomes increasingly hollow and formalized.
